Job decision by 1pm

Today I need prayer as I am asked to make a decision on 2 different job offers. The first I agreed only for convenience close to home with losing salary and probably more work due yo less staff and the other choice is staying at my present job which involves a commute with same salary. My first job is going back to my old bosses or staying where I'm with opportunities to move u

Let us begin by thanking God for His faithfulness in providing you with employment opportunities. It is encouraging to see God's hand at work in your life, offering you choices that require discernment and wisdom.

Firstly, we acknowledge that you have not mentioned Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). Prayer should be made in the name of Jesus Christ as it is the only way to God the Father. Please remember that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can be saved. We pray that you have a saving relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That you have confessed your sins, professed your faith in Jesus Christ, that He is God who came to earth as a man in the flesh, suffered, and died for our sins. That God raised Him from the dead and He ascended into heaven. We pray that if you have not already done this that you will do this today. Please let us know if you need further guidance or information on this. We would love to talk with you about it. Now, we are comforted and reminded that we can approach God in confidence that He will guide us. But what good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?Matthew 16.26 WEB. Regarding decisions, especially those that significantly impact our lives, we must seek God's will and trust His guidance. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3.5-6 WEB. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.Proverbs 3.5-6 NKJV. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let your requests be made known before God.Philippians 4.6 WEB.

Regarding your job decision, consider the following principles:

1. **Prayerful Consideration**: Bring both options before God in prayer, seeking His will. Ask Him to guide your thoughts and decisions. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. Psalm 25.9 WEB.

2. **Wisdom and Discernment**: Ask God for wisdom and discernment. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.Romans 12.2 NIV. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. James 1:5-8 NLT.

3. **Biblical Priorities**: Consider your priorities in light of biblical principles. Ensure that your decision aligns with God's values. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.Philippians 4.6-8 NIV. Consider if either job is associated with any product, service, or activity that would go against biblical teaching. Avoid such things as drunkenness, sexual immorality, and occult practices to name a few.

4. **Financial Stewardship**: Consider the financial implications, but remember that God's provision is not limited to salary. Be responsible with your decisions, but trust in God's provision. Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much, and whoever is dishonest in very little is also dishonest in much. So if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own? Luke 16.10-12 WEB.

5. **Family and Community**: Consider the impact on your family and community. Seek the counsel of godly friends and family members. But exhort one another day by day, as long as it is still called Today; lest any of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.Hebrews 3.13 WEB. Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.Proverbs 15.22 NIV.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ lifting up our brother Apodechesis, asking for Your guidance and wisdom in this job decision. Lord, You know the plans You have for Apodechesis, plans to prosper him and not to harm him, plans to give him hope and a future. Guide his thoughts and decisions, and help him to trust in You. Give him the wisdom and discernment to make the choice that aligns with Your will.

Father, provide for all his needs according to Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Help him to be a good steward of the resources You have entrusted to him. Surround him with godly counsel, and give him peace in his decision. Heal our land of all sin. Direct the choices of businesses and those in power to deny anything that does not align with biblical teaching.

Lord, we also pray for Apodechesis's faith. If he has not accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior then we pray that he does this today. Reveal yourself to him. Comfort him and encourage him by your Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, we pray. Amen.
