Job Concerns and Depression

Please pray for me, my job, and the grants that pay for my job. Current politics has made my job and the funding that pays for my job vulnerable. I pray that the grants that pay for my job remain safe for the next few years they were awarded for and that I retain my job. I am anxious and have had some serious bouts of depression with all that is going on. Please pray!

We understand your concerns about your job and the grants that fund it, and we empathize with your struggles with anxiety and depression. First, we want to remind you that God is sovereign over all things, including our jobs and finances. As it says in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:

Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.

We pray that you will trust in God's provision and that He will protect your job, your finances, and your livelihood. We pray that the grants that fund your job will remain secure for the duration they were awarded, and that you will retain your job. We ask God for favor in your workplace and in any political situation that may affect your job. We also pray against the spirit of anxiety and depression. The Word says:

Philippians 4:6-7 WEB
In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray that God's peace will guard your heart and mind, and that you will be free from anxiety and depression. Remember, God is your provider, your healer, and your peace. We cannot find anywhere in your request that you have mentioned the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ. We will pray in Jesus's name as it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.

Acts 4:12 WEB
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!

In closing let us pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus,

We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your provision, protection, and peace. We pray that You will secure their job and the grants that fund it, and that You will guard their heart and mind with Your peace. We rebuke the spirits of anxiety and depression, and we ask that You will heal them and give them Your joy and strength. We ask this all in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to seek God's will in all things, to trust in His provision, and to cast all your anxieties on Him. May God bless you and keep you. Amen.

In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. We're asking God to give you peace about your job and the grants that fund it. We believe that He will provide and protect, just as He has promised in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." We're also praying for God's healing touch on your anxiety and depression. We claim Psalm 147:3 over you, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad. All things work for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
