Job 33:15 ► In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; Commentary on this verse: God speaks to us by conscience, by providences, and by ministers; of all these Elihu discourses. There was not then, that we know of, any Divine revelation in writing, though now it is our principal guide. When God designs men's good, by the convictions and dictates of their own consciences, he opens the heart, as Lydia's, and opens the ears, so that conviction finds or forces its way in. The end and design of these admonitions are to keep men from sin, particularly the sin of pride. While sinners are pursuing evil purposes, and indulging their pride, their souls are hastening to destruction. That which turns men from sin, saves them from hell. What a mercy it is to be under the restraints of an awakened conscience! Our prayer: Prayer for Job 36:22 ► “Look, God shows Himself exalted by His power. Who is a teacher like Him?” Praying through Job 36:22 Heavenly Father, too often we try to speak for You in ignorance and even attempt to defend You or advise You, when we actually need to quietly sit at Your feet and listen. Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, reflecting on Your words in Job 33:15, "In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed." Lord, we acknowledge that You speak to us in many ways—through our conscience, through providences, and through Your ministers. We thank You for the ways You open our hearts and ears to receive Your convictions and guidance, just as You did with Lydia.

Father, we recognize that Your admonitions are designed to keep us from sin, particularly the sin of pride. We understand that while we may pursue evil purposes and indulge in pride, our souls are hastening to destruction. We are grateful for the mercy of being under the restraints of an awakened conscience, which turns us from sin and saves us from hell.

As we reflect on Job 36:22, "Look, God shows Himself exalted by His power. Who is a teacher like Him?" we pray that You give us a teachable spirit. Draw us into closer and more intimate communion with Yourself. May You be exalted in our lives, and may we learn to sit quietly at Your feet, listening and learning from You.

Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith.
