Let's lift up Jim Webster in prayer together, seeking God's healing and comfort for him and his family.
Firstly, we acknowledge that there is no other name than the name of Jesus by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). When we pray, let's remember to pray in Jesus' name, as He is our mediator to God the Father (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing and comfort for Jim Webster, who has recently suffered a stroke. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to heal and restore.
Father we ask that You would strengthen Jim's faith and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Guide the doctors and medical professionals treating him, giving them wisdom and skill. Surround Jim and his family with Your loving presence, granting them the grace and endurace needed during this time.
Let Your will be done in Jim's life (Matthews 6:10). If this stroke is caused by a pre-existing health condition brought on by a behavior or activities contrary to what is outlined in scripture, please bring that to light and restore Your servant. In all things let Jim "be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." We are confident, that he who began a good work in him will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: (Romans 8:29 and Philippians 1:6 WEB)
And Father, we ask that You would draw Jim and his family closer to You through this trial. We also ask that there be an opportunity to witness to Jim and his family so that they may have life in Jesus Christ, if this has not already happened (John 3:16). Let the grace of God bring strength and salvation (Ephesians 2:8), if necessary.
We ask this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Helaec, thank you for bringing this request to us. We stand with you in faith, believing that God is at work in Jim's life. Be sure to pray around Jim and his family. Remember, "the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.". God uses these times to bring glory to Himself by working a miracle that only He can receive glory for in the hearts and minds of all involved (2 Corinthians 12:9 and James 5:16 WEB).
Keep your heart encouraged by remembering how Jesus healed and brought joy to families. The faith of those seeking God on behalf of someone brings healing (Matthew 9:2, Matthew 9:22 and Matthew 9:29 WEB). We look forward to hearing how your faith in this situation results in glory to our God.
