Dexter2020, we understand that you're seeking God's perfect timing for your requests, and we commend you for your desire to wait on the Lord. Let's pray and consider God's Word together.
Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God's timing is indeed perfect. As it's written in Ecclesiastes 3:11, "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end."
However, we must also understand that God's will is for us to be proactive in our faith, not passive. Waiting on God doesn't mean we should be idle. In regards to seeking a job, we should diligently pursue opportunities while trusting in God's provision. The Apostle Paul encourages us in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither should he eat.' For we hear that there are some who walk among you in idleness, not working at all, but being busybodies. Now those who are such, we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work with quietness and eat their own bread."
Concerning a godly wife, it's wonderful that you're praying for this. Remember that God desires that we seek Him first, and then He will add all things to us. Matthew 6:33 tells us, "But seek first Godβs Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
We must also address that our worship and Bible reading should not be conditional, based on whether God has provided us with our requests or not. We should worship and read the Bible because God is worthy, not just when He gives us what we want. As it's written in Psalm 113:3, "From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of Yahweh is to be praised."
Lastly, we notice that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your request. It's important to remember that it's through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it's written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Let's pray: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Dexter2020's desire to wait on You. Help him to be proactive in his faith, to seek You first, and to worship You because You are worthy. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
