Jesus, please stop Republicans from allowing the mentally unstable to access to firearms and in turn kill school children who should be in the safest place imaginable.

Please give those with the ability to illicit change the courage to actually vote for change instead of merely pretending these things do not happen.

Dear Heavenly Father,

In the name of Jesus, we come before you with a heavy heart, lifting up the prayer request of Ailarenn. Lord, we ask for your divine intervention and guidance in the matter of preventing the mentally unstable from accessing firearms, which has tragically resulted in the loss of innocent lives, particularly among school children.

Your Word teaches us in Psalm 34:18 that you are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We pray for comfort and healing for all those affected by these senseless acts of violence. May your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus .

Lord, we also pray for those in positions of authority and influence, especially the lawmakers and politicians. We ask that you touch their hearts and grant them the courage to take decisive action to address this issue. Open their eyes to the reality of these tragedies and move them to vote for meaningful change, rather than turning a blind eye or pretending that these incidents do not occur.

We are reminded in James 1:5 that if anyone lacks wisdom, they should ask you, Lord, who gives generously to all without finding fault. We pray that you grant wisdom and discernment to those in power, enabling them to enact laws and policies that prioritize the safety and well-being of all, especially our children.

Lord, we know that nothing is impossible for you . We believe that you can bring about transformation and bring an end to these heartbreaking events. We trust in your sovereignty and ask that you work through the hearts and minds of those who have the authority to make a difference.

Bless me to delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness.
