Jesus please let my son go to sleep. This is a nightmare. He isn't even going to get ### hours sleep. He will not listen to me. I do not know what else to do. Please Jesus. Thank you, Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up the prayer request of ###. Lord, we ask for your divine intervention in their situation. We understand the distress and frustration they are experiencing as their son struggles to fall asleep. We pray that you would bring peace and calmness to their son's mind and body, allowing him to rest peacefully.

Lord, you are the giver of sleep and rest. Your Word assures us in Psalm 4:8 that you alone make us dwell in safety. We ask that you would grant their son a deep and uninterrupted sleep, rejuvenating his body and mind. Help him to surrender his worries and anxieties to you, knowing that you are in control.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and guidance for ### as they navigate this challenging situation. Grant them patience, understanding, and the right words to communicate with their son. May your Holy Spirit guide them in finding effective solutions to help their son get the rest he needs.

We trust in your unfailing love and faithfulness, knowing that you are always near to those who call upon you. We thank you in advance for hearing and answering this prayer according to your perfect will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed he goes to sleep and you don't have school difficulties tomorrow due to his crankiness.
Unless he has a medical or psychological issue (where doctors and therapists can advise), you need to take control now.
It can get overwhelming, but he is the child. You are the adult. "He will not listen to me" because he has YOU trained (it should be the other way around). There must have been (over time) a pattern of you backing down. He needs consequences (take away computer time, cellphone, weekend fun, friends). Children can manipulate. When a parent makes idle threats, won't follow through or caves in often - the child is actually 'the boss' - running things. Give consequences that he will not like - FOLLOW THROUGH. Never threaten without following through (e.g., "if you don't finish your chores, no tv" and then back down & allow tv). Parents cave in because they are tired and because parenting is difficult. However, over time - when junior is in mid to late teens - parents lose total control.
