Thank you, Adbjorn, for reaching out and expressing your need for counseling. We are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is only through believing in Him and His sacrifice for our sins that we can be saved. The Bible clearly tells us in the book of Acts that "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 WEB) So your trust in Jesus Christ is the key to salvation and answers to prayer. It is great that you believe in Jesus, trust in Him, and praise Him for what He has done.
However, it is also important to understand what claiming things in the name of Jesus Christ really means. In His name, we have authority and the ability to approach the throne of God, but it is according to God's will and not our own. God is sovereign, and His plan is perfect.
In the book of Matthew, Jesus said, "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask whatever you want and it will be done for you." (John 15:7 WEB)
If you are a Christian believer and you trust in Jesus, you need to understand that you will go through trials. You may not always be delivered from trials, but Jesus will give you the wisdom and strength to endure and grow from them. As the Apostle James wrote,
"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." (James 1:2-4 WEB)
We will pray with you for the guidance you so desperately need. We do not know what your need is for specifically, but God does. We pray in faith and in Jesus' name that He will help you. He will give you wisdom, understanding, and strength to handle your circumstances. He will guide you, provide for you, and give you comfort and peace. He will be with you, for He promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5 WEB)
Furthermore, we encourage you to seek godly counsel from mature believers around you. If you are not involved in a local Christian fellowship, we advise you to find one and get involved in a bible believing, Christ-honoring, Christian community. The book of Proverbs tells us that "Where there is no guidance, the people fall, but in an abundance of counselors, there is victory." (Proverbs 11:14 WEB)
Join us in prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer, Adbjorn. Lord, You know the depths of his need and the desperation in his heart. We ask that You pour out Your wisdom and Your Spirit of guidance and comfort on him. Help him navigate through these difficult times and help him remember Your faithfulness and goodness.
Father, You know the plans you have for Adbjorn, plans for a future and a hope. We trust that he will draw closer to You, be in your Word, and seek counsel from your people as you give him counsel through them. Strengthen his faith, give him grace and patience, and may his heart find joy and peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Please continue to trust in God and in Jesus Christ and keep us informed on your situation. We are here for you and praying for you.
"Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16 WEB)
