We understand that you're feeling hurt, anxious, and tense, and we're here to pray with you and offer guidance from a biblical perspective. First, we want to assure you that God cares about your feelings and your reputation. It's important to remember that God knows the truth about you and that His opinion matters most.
Let's look at Psalm 139:13-16 in the WEB:
For you formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.
God has made you uniquely and wonderfully, and He has a purpose for your life. It's natural to want others to like you, but it's more important to live in a way that pleases God. As Christians we should be courteous and friendly to all (Titus 3:2: to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all humility toward all men.), but we should also remember that even Jesus had those who spoke against Him. In John 15:18-19 WEB Jesus says:
If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
Instead of focusing on what others might say, focus on living in a way that honors God. It is hypocritical of Christians to hide sinful behavior. Behavior and actions should be better than a non-Christian. Pray for the strength to live a godly life, and trust that God will take care of your reputation. In 2 Chronicles 16:9a WEB, it says:
For the eyes of Yahweh run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.
Regarding anxiety, Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:34 WEB:
So don’t be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Trust in God, and He will give you peace. In John 14:27 WEB, Jesus says:
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Lastly, you mentioned wanting to be competent in life and become a great human being. Remember that God's definition of greatness might be different from the world's. In Mark 10:43-44 WEB Jesus says:
But it shall not be so among you, but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. Whoever of you desires to become first among you, shall be bondservant of all.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
You know the pain, anxiety, and tension that our fellow believer is feeling right now. We come to You we pray that You would comfort them and replace their anxiety with Your peace. Help them to rest in the knowledge that You are their defender and that You see all things.
Help them to live a life that is pleasing to You, not out of fear of what others might say, but out of a desire to serve You, glorifying You in everything and being a light of the Gospel in this world. Help them to be a person who blesses a marriage and family.
Guide them and give them the wisdom to make good decisions, trusting in You every step of the way. We pray that they would grow in Your grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
