Thank you, natasha2, for reaching out and sharing your prayer request. We join you in prayer, asking for God's blessings upon your mom and family.
Let us Meditate on relevant verses from the World English Bible (WEB) before praying.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 WEB:
"In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you."
Philippians 4:8 WEB:
"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."
Proverbs 15:1 WEB:
"A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
Ephesians 4:29 WEB:
"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."
Romans 8:14 WEB:
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God."
John 3:16 WEB:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life."
Let us acknowledge the issues and pray for your family,
You have mentioned that there is negative thinking, nagging, complaining, criticizing, pressure, control, and manipulation taking place at natasha2's home. We cannot control people's thoughts and actions, but we can pray for them and ask God to intervene. Our first response should be our heartfelt prayer to Jesus Christ. This situation reminds us of Ephesians 4:31, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, along with all malice."
We must also address the issue of salvation. It's our role to pray for Jesus to be Lord over the family. This means that your mother needs to understand that Christmas will not fix the problems in her life. Christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life. It is only when we invite Jesus to be Lord over our life that we are saved and will go to heaven in the event of our death.
School nativity plays, shopping, Christmas lights, gifts, etc... will not save us. The greatest Christmas gift that anybody can receive is the gift of salvation when one surrenders their life to Jesus Christ.
Therefore we will begin our prayer by praying for Jesus to be Lord over your family and acknowledge the importance of Christmas being celebrated by understanding the incredible sacrifice that God made for us when he gave his own Son, who died on the cross for our sins.
In praying for reconciliation on behalf of the family, we will also pray for the environment described such as the nagging, complaining, and criticism.
Join us in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in Jesus' name. We praise you and thank you for all the incredible sacrifices that you have made for us Lord. We thank you for Christmas Lord.
Today, we lift up natasha2, her mom, and her family to you. Lord, we ask you to be Lord over Natasha's family. We pray that each member may understand the true meaning of Christmas. This is the most precious gift that you have given us. The gift of eternal life through Jesus that delivers us from the curse of sin and death to a wonderful life living in friendship and relationship with you our creator forever.
Merciful and gracious God, we are commanded in the Bible to think about things that are just, things that are pure, things that are lovely, and things of good report. We ask you to restore, fill, lead, and guide natasha2's mom and entire family as commanded in Proverbs 15:1. We rebuke every spirit of contention, envy and strife in the home. We ask for peace in the house, Lord. Give everybody in the house's words that are good for building up. We will once again ask for patience, kindness, peace, joy, and love in the home.
We are ambassadors of the Kingdom of God here on earth. Our allegiance is with Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, we commit to praying for our families. We also commit to believing in the might name of Jesus Christ. Without the Name of Jesus we are powerless and without salvation.
We thank you for all that you are going to do for this family. We pray all these things in Jesus Name. Amen.
