Jesus is God!
There are many people who believe in a Jesus but many do not believe in his deity. Let's see what the scriptures says.
1. John 10:30 The Father and I are one.
2. John 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
3. John 10:33 “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”
4. John 5:18 This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
5. John 8:57-58 The people said, “You aren’t even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?” Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!”
6. Acts 20:28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.
7. Philippians 2:9-10 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and thingsunder the earth;
If Jesus isn't God, then the Father Himself is at odds with His own commandment:
Exodus 20:5 you shall not bow down to them [other gods] nor serve them.
Then there are these two verses: Isaiah 43:11. I,[God] even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior.
Luke 2:11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
If Jesus Christ is not true God, why did God tell us to bow down to Jesus? If Jesus Christ is not true God, how can He be our Saviour? And If He wasn't a true man, how could he have suffered for our sins?”
It's inescapable, our Heavenly Father came down in the flesh and live amongst us to fulfill His errand of mercy; Salvation through Agape!
