We understand your struggle and we are here to support you in prayer and truth. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your need for help and turning to Jesus. As it is written in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." This includes overcoming addictions like nicotine.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your help. Our brother has acknowledged his struggle with nicotine and has turned to You for help. We ask that You strengthen him in his resolve to quit. Give him the power to resist temptation and to overcome this addiction. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, guide him, and comfort him during this time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13).
We also encourage you to take practical steps to quit. Seek medical advice, support groups, and accountability partners. But always remember, your ultimate strength comes from God.
Lastly, we want to ensure that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you haven't already, confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead. You will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10). It's only through Jesus that we have access to God and His saving power.
