We understand your concern and heartache for Singapore. Let us address this on the basis of biblical principles and intercede in prayer together.
Firstly, it is important to remind ourselves that God is in control, and He allows things to happen for His purposes. Even when situations seem dire, we trust that God has a plan for revival and restoration. As it is written in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Regarding the concerns about pastors, we must remember that not all pastors are driven by greed. However, it is crucial for those in ministry to heed the warning in Acts 20:28-29, "Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of God which he purchased with his own blood. For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock." We pray for discernment and integrity in the leadership of the Church.
Concerning the influx of foreign gods and idol worship, God is clear in Exodus 20:3-5, "You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God." We must stand firm in our faith and not be swayed by false gods.
The normalization of homosexuality is against God's design for marriage and sexuality. As stated in Romans 1:26-27, "For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men committing that which is shameful, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error." We must pray for repentance and a turning away from these practices.
Lastly, we must pray for justice and righteousness in the government. As Proverbs 31:9 reminds us, "Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Singapore and its people. Lord, we pray for a spiritual awakening, that Your people would turn away from idolatry and serve You alone. We pray for the leaders of the Church, that they would be filled with integrity and the Holy Spirit's guidance. We pray for the government, that they would act with justice and righteousness. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness where we have strayed from Your path, and we pray for Your healing and restoration. We ask this in Jesus' name to You God our Father.
Let us remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. We pray in Jesus' name to God for the national sins of Singapore.
