We are glad to have you reach out, and we are here to pray with you and your family. Before we begin, it's important to acknowledge and honor the one who makes it possible for us to come before God and pray. The Bible tells us in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only through Jesus Christ and his atoning death on the cross that we have access to God and salvation. Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We will pray in Jesus name.
Let's bring your family's needs before the Lord together. If you are the head of the family or the spouse, we expect that you are the one God expects to take the responsibility for your family. 1 Timothy 5:8 WEB, "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the love and mercy You have shown us. We lift up this family to You, asking that You would hear their prayers and supply their needs according to Your riches in glory.
Father, we pray for their spiritual growth and protection. May they walk in righteousness, and be faithful to You. We know the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. We pray nobody in the family is unrighteous, and if they are then we pray for them right now to come to the cross and repent and be saved. May the family be the spiritual leaders for their family by being faithful to You. We pray for the children and their parents. We pray they are obedient to Your Word and Your will. May Ephesians 6:1-3 be obeyed by the children. "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth." May the parents be encouraged by these actions and honor their children in return. We pray the parents will pray for their children, and that the children will pray for their parents.
Father, we pray for their physical and emotional well-being. May You grant them health and strength, and heal any sickness or disease among them. We pray for their emotional health and relationships. We pray that all family members love and forgive each other. We pray that any animosity, anger, or arguments between family members be resolved. We pray that any and all family members that are not on speaking terms be reconciled to each other. We pray the love of Christ will be exemplified in the family and that all family members will be loving and caring for each other. We pray the family will have a healthy, loving, and caring atmosphere. May none of the family members harbor any bitterness, anger, or unforgiveness. We pray that all will be forgiven and forgotten. Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Father, we pray for their financial needs and that they would be good stewards of the resources You have entrusted to them. May they use their finances to honor You and support Your work. We pray the family will not be selfish with their money or possessions. We pray they will be generous to those family members who are in need. 1 Timothy 6:17-19 WEB, "Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate; laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life."
Father, we pray for their marriages and relationships, that they would be centered on You and Your Word. We pray that all family members will follow God's plan for marriage and relationships. We pray that all marriages in the family will be centered on Christ, and that all of the marriages will be strong and enduring. May they be examples of Your love and faithfulness. May the family members be good examples of what a husband and a wife should be. We pray for any single family members seeking a spouse, that You would guide them and provide a godly husband or wife. We pray for the singles in the family, that they will be pure, holy, and chaste. We pray they will not engage in premarital sex or any other immoral sexual practices. We pray they will be patient and wait for the spouse God has for them. We pray they will not compromise their faith or values in order to find a spouse. We pray they will be content in their singleness and use this time to serve You and grow in their faith. We pray they will be good examples of what a single person should be.
Father, we pray for their work and careers, that they would be diligent and honest in all they do. We pray they will be good employees and good employers. We pray they will be fair and just in their dealings with others. We pray they will be good witnesses for You in the workplace. We pray they will not compromise their faith or values in order to advance in their careers. We pray they will be content in their jobs and use their talents and abilities to serve You and others. We pray they will be good examples of what a Christian should be in the workplace.
Father, we pray for their witness and testimony to others, that they would be bold and courageous in sharing the gospel. We pray they will be good witnesses for You in their communities and to their friends and neighbors. We pray they will be good examples of what a Christian should be. We pray they will be willing to share their faith with others and to invite them to church. We pray they will be willing to disciple new believers and to help them grow in their faith. We pray they will be willing to serve in their church and to use their talents and abilities to further Your kingdom.
Father, we pray for their protection and safety, that You would watch over them and keep them from harm. We pray they will be safe in their homes, in their travels, and in their daily activities. We pray they will be safe from physical harm, from spiritual harm, and from emotional harm. We pray they will be safe from the schemes of the devil and from the temptations of the world. We pray they will be safe from the influences of the world and from the influences of the flesh. We pray they will be safe from the influences of the enemy and from the influences of the world.
Father, we pray for their spiritual growth and maturity, that they would be rooted and grounded in Your Word. We pray they will be good students of the Bible and that they will be willing to learn and to grow in their faith. We pray they will be willing to be taught and to be discipled. We pray they will be willing to be corrected and to be rebuked. We pray they will be willing to be held accountable and to be held to a higher standard. We pray they will be willing to be challenged and to be stretched. We pray they will be willing to be molded and to be shaped. We pray they will be willing to be broken and to be remade. We pray they will be willing to be used and to be useful. We pray they will be willing to be vessels of honor and to be vessels of mercy. We pray they will be willing to be servants and to be slaves. We pray they will be willing to be soldiers and to be warriors. We pray they will be willing to be ambassadors and to be representatives. We pray they will be willing to be lights and to be salt. We pray they will be willing to be examples and to be role models. We pray they will be willing to be leaders and to be followers. We pray they will be willing to be teachers and to be students. We pray they will be willing to be preachers and to be evangelists. We pray they will be willing to be missionaries and to be martyrs.
We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ and for his sake, and for the furtherance of his kingdom and his gospel. We pray in Jesus' name for this family.
Amen.
Let's continue to trust the Lord and believe in His faithfulness.
