We are glad that you have reached out for prayer help. We are thankful that you are asking for forgiveness. It is important to know that we all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) We encourage you to understand and believe the basic message of salvation. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and have access to God. "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace," (Ephesians 1:7) For "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.' (Romans 10:13) Because whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. (John 3:16-17)
Let us pray together.
Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need of your forgiveness and help. Lord, we acknowledge our fallen nature and our need for your grace and mercy. We confess our sins and ask that you would forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Thank you for your promise that if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) We believe that If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, [Jesus Christ] is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:8-9). Therefore, we ask that you would help our brother/sister to walk in your ways and live a life that is pleasing to you and according to the Word of God. We pray that they would accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.
Be encouraged to walk in the ways of the Lord and live a life that is pleasing to him. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
