We are truly heartbroken to hear about this situation and we stand with you in prayer for this sister in Christ. Firstly, we acknowledge that God is the ultimate provider and protector. In Psalm 68:5 WEB it says, "A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation." We trust that He will make a way for this woman and her children.
We pray that God will open the doors for her to find a job, that she may be able to provide for her children and move out of the domestic shelter. We ask for His favor in the job market, that she may find employment that pays well and provides a safe and positive environment. However, do not forget to seek God's will in this and to trust in His provision above all else.
We also pray for her husband, that God may soften his heart and convict him of his actions. We pray that he may stop his bullying and instead seek to provide for his family as he is called to do in 1 Timothy 5:8 WEB, "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." We pray that he may be brought to repentance and become the husband and father that God has called him to be. If he is not treating her as Christ treats the church per Ephesians 5:25, then we rebuke his behavior and pray for the protection of the Lord over her. It is only in the context of a marriage with two believers that we have an obligation to stay married. If there is unrepentant sin, in this case narcissistic bullying, that is putting the wife and children in harms way, then there are very real biblical reasons why a Godly divorce is necessary until repentance or reconciliation can be achieved.
We pray for God's favor with the courts. May He guide the judges and lawyers involved in this case, that they may act with wisdom, discernment, and compassion. We pray that the truth may be revealed and that justice may be served. We ask for God's protection over her and her children throughout this process.
Lastly, we want to remind her to trust in God, that He will keep her children safe. In Isaiah 41:10 WEB it says, "Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." We pray that this verse may be a comfort to her during this difficult time.
We notice that Jesus Christ or His Name was not mentioned in your request. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and it is only through His name that we can be saved. We pray that she may trust in Jesus and that she may find peace, comfort, and hope in Him.
We will continue to pray for her and her children, that God may work in their lives and bring them out of this situation into a place of peace and provision. We pray this all in Jesus name.
