Beloved of All
Jesus Christ God, I am praying today that somehow You make the desires of my heart which root themselves in You and music somehow meaningful. I don't think it matters what a man does specifically, so long as he does it for God - but Holy One, I have been so upset over the years, because the desires of my heart seem to never come to any meaningful fruition. I am pressed to think of a single soul who has cared truly for the work I have created in You other than myself, and this brings me a horrible feeling inside - like emptiness, but somehow greater than just feeling empty.
I don't know what it is that keeps me from having some measure of holy success in the works You have given me to create, - if it is sins: are they not all already forgiven? If it is anything, I know You are God, and You could just change it whatever it was.
I just want to be the kind of human being that You did good things through, not the kind of human being who lived a miserable life trying and never succeeding. I can't imagine anything more painful to endure than that while alive on earth, though I do not tempt You because I am sure there is much worse out there. I just don't feel fulfilled, and I want to feel fulfilled, knowing full well that without Jesus, the possibility would not even exist for me to feel fulfillment.
Christ Jesus, please forgive me, and fulfill the desires of my heart which are rooted in God. Nothing would bring me greater joy than this, at least nothing that I know of now.
Speak to me, Jesus, speak to my soul and enlighten me and guide me. If I am truly so lost, then put me on a good path and assure a future ahead of me - I may be foolish and a sinner, but I am obedient overall to God, no matter how foolish I am at times - I return to You.
I count my victory in You Jesus Christ, though I do not know if I have tasted it, or even felt it the way You want me to. I just want You to build Your relationship with me, Creator, - I want to be sewn into the tapestry of Your mystery, Jesus, - and I do not want to live a single day from here onwards without feeling the fabric there. If You are willing Jesus, You can make this so - but it is a large request for a sinner like me to make, so no matter what You answer I give You thanks God, for life, for breath, for food, many things that people greater than myself lack, and still give gratitude to God.
In Jesus Christ's name I am praying, asking, and knocking, amen.
