Jeremiah 3:20 ► Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.

Commentary on this verse：
See God's readiness to pardon sin, and the blessings reserved for gospel times. These words were proclaimed toward the north; to Israel, the ten tribes, captive in Assyria. They are directed how to return. If we confess our sins, the Lord is faithful and just to forgive them. These promises are fully to come to pass in the bringing back the Jews in after-ages. God will graciously receive those that return to him; and by his grace, he takes them out from among the rest. The ark of the covenant was not found after the captivity. The whole of that dispensation was to be done away, which took place after the multitude of believers had been greatly increased by the conversion of the Gentiles, and of the Israelites scattered among them. A happy state of the church is foretold. He can teach all to call him Father; but without thorough change of heart and life, no man can be a child of God, and we have no security for not departing from Him.

Our prayer：
Heavenly Father, You are perfectly faithful in everything You do. You show Your faithfulness to us in caring for us, protecting us, and providing for our needs. Forgive us for the times we question You, grumble about our circumstances, or turn our back on You. We want to be like Moses and trust You even when we're feeling unsure and our confidence is shaky. Show us one small way we can trust You today. We want to declare Your faithfulness with certainty to those around us so they will put their faith and trust in You. Show us who we can encourage today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, acknowledging our shortcomings and the times we have turned away from You, just as Israel dealt treacherously with You, as stated in Jeremiah 3:20. Lord, we see Your readiness to pardon sin and the blessings You have reserved for us in these gospel times. We are reminded that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us.

Father, we pray for Tang Wei Ping and all of us who seek Your forgiveness and grace. We ask that You graciously receive us as we return to You, just as You promised to bring back the Jews in afterages. Teach us to call You Father with a thorough change of heart and life, for without this transformation, we cannot truly be Your children.

Lord, You are perfectly faithful in everything You do. You show Your faithfulness in caring for us, protecting us, and providing for our needs. Forgive us for the times we question You, grumble about our circumstances, or turn our backs on You. Help us to trust You even when we feel unsure and our confidence is shaky.

Show us one small way we can trust You today. We want to declare Your faithfulness with certainty to those around us so they will put their faith and trust in You. Reveal to us who we can encourage today.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
