Thank you, Edwin Pinto, for bringing this request before us. We join you in praying for Sunny Roy and Vivian Winifred, who have been facing unemployment for the past five years and are grappling with financial debt and family chaos. We are grateful that you have come in the name of JESUS and acknowledge the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
Firstly, we stand on the promise in Genesis 22:14 (WEB), where God provides the lamb for a burnt offering, and Abraham calls the place "Yahweh Will Provide". God will provide for Sunny Roy and Vivian Winifred according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19 WEB). We pray that they will trust in the LORD with all their hearts and lean not on their own understanding. In all their ways, may they acknowledge Him, and He will make their paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). We are encouraged by Psalms 145:18 (WEB) that the LORD is near to all those who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.
However, we must also address the need for peace in the family. In John 14:27 (WEB), Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
Regarding the upcoming marriage of the elder son, we pray for God's divine guidance and provision. We pray that both individuals seek Godly qualities in their spouse to marry and that the promise in Ephesians 5:33 will be mirrored in the union. This means that any sexual acts in the engagement period is fornication and is sin. Therefore, they must only look forward to this intimacy after the marriage. However, let us first take a stand on faith that God will provide jobs for these brothers. May they have the attitude of 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (WEB) "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'" This does not mean that they are not seeking, but we want to make sure that they are not sitting back hoping for a blessing as opposed to blessing themselves by God's grace.
Finally, we stand with you in Jesus' mighty name, praying that all their needs will be met according to God's will and purpose for their lives.
Lord Jesus thank You for being our provider. Thank You for the promises in Your Word. We lift Sunny and Vivian up to You and trust and ask in faith that You will meet all of their needs. We pray that You will grant peace to their family. Lord Jesus we pray that Your holy name may be glorified in this situation. We humbly ask as your children that you will hear our prayers and meet their needs in Your time. In Jesus name thank you, AMEN.
