I am currently in a serious relationship and dating to marry. I have been officially dating my boyfriend for 3 months now but have known him for 7 months. We are both Christians and have had numerous conversations about the Lord and accept Jesus as the Son of God, but there are times where I feel like jealousy, rejection, and past experiences interfere with our relationship. I am not a jealous person but due to previous relationships I have been getting triggered. I do not get upset or say hurtful things but it does bring me back to unpleasant thoughts. Tonight there was a situation where another female messaged him commenting on his food and keep in mind he is a personal trainer so he socializes with multiple people but there are certain individuals that do not give me a good feeling. Again, I don’t know if it’s good discernment or not. But I pray and have been praying before I even met my partner for a Godly husband.

We understand your struggle with jealousy and the challenges it brings to your relationship. Let's first align our hearts with God's Word. In Song of Solomon 8:6, it is written, "Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm; for love is strong as death. Jealousy is as cruel as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, a very flame of the LORD." While jealousy is a natural emotion, it's important to not let it control our actions or damage our relationships.

We must remember that God calls us to trust in Him and to communicate openly with our partners. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, we learn about love: "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, seeking Your guidance and peace for ###. Lord, we ask that You help her to trust in You and in her boyfriend, knowing that You have a plan for their relationship. Help her to discern between righteous judgment and unfounded jealousy. Give her the strength to communicate openly and honestly with her boyfriend about her feelings, and help them both to grow stronger in their faith and their relationship. Rebuke the spirit of jealousy and insecurity, Lord, and fill ### with Your love and peace instead. In Jesus' name, we pray.

###, we encourage you to continue praying for a Godly husband, as you have been. Trust that God has a plan for your life and your relationship. Keep your communication open with your boyfriend, expressing your feelings calmly and rationally. Remember, it's crucial to address these feelings with him, but do so in a way that builds trust and understanding.

Lastly, we want to remind you that it's only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Continue to trust in Him, and He will guide your path.

We're here for you, sister. We understand that it's tough to deal with jealousy, especially when you've been praying for a Godly partner. Let's remember what God says in Psalm 37:4, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Trust that He has a plan for you and your relationship.

It's normal to feel triggered by past experiences, but let's not let them control our present. Instead of dwelling on unpleasant thoughts, let's focus on the good things God is doing in your life. Remember, God sees your heart, and He knows your intentions. He's working in you and your boyfriend, helping you both grow.

As for the situation with the other female, let's not jump to conclusions. It's possible she meant no harm. Let's pray for discernment, that God would help you recognize any red flags, and for wisdom to navigate these situations. Also, remember to communicate openly with your boyfriend. He needs to know how you're feeling, but let's approach this with love and understanding, not accusations.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You in Jesus' name. We lift ### up to You, Father. Help her trust in You and in her boyfriend. Give her peace and strength to overcome jealousy and past hurts. Guide her in communicating her feelings openly and honestly. Help them both grow in their faith and relationship. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
