We understand your struggle with jealousy and the challenges it brings to your relationship. Let's first align our hearts with God's Word. In Song of Solomon 8:6, it is written, "Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm; for love is strong as death. Jealousy is as cruel as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, a very flame of the LORD." While jealousy is a natural emotion, it's important to not let it control our actions or damage our relationships.
We must remember that God calls us to trust in Him and to communicate openly with our partners. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, we learn about love: "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, seeking Your guidance and peace for Jescollyn. Lord, we ask that You help her to trust in You and in her boyfriend, knowing that You have a plan for their relationship. Help her to discern between righteous judgment and unfounded jealousy. Give her the strength to communicate openly and honestly with her boyfriend about her feelings, and help them both to grow stronger in their faith and their relationship. Rebuke the spirit of jealousy and insecurity, Lord, and fill Jescollyn with Your love and peace instead. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Jescollyn, we encourage you to continue praying for a Godly husband, as you have been. Trust that God has a plan for your life and your relationship. Keep your communication open with your boyfriend, expressing your feelings calmly and rationally. Remember, it's crucial to address these feelings with him, but do so in a way that builds trust and understanding.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it's only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Continue to trust in Him, and He will guide your path.
