Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging Your sovereignty and perfect will in all matters. We lift up Jaime and his dear mother Maria, who is in Puerto Rico facing health challenges and difficult conditions. Lord, we know that Jaime’s heart is burdened with concern for his mother and he seeks Your guidance on whether to go and take care of her.
Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We trust that You have a plan for Jaime and Maria, a plan that will bring peace and clarity in this situation.
Lord, we ask that You speak clearly to Jaime, guiding his steps and giving him the wisdom he needs to make the right decision. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Help Jaime to trust in You fully, to lean not on his own understanding but to seek Your direction in all things.
We also pray for Jaime’s family and church family who love and support him. Prepare their hearts for whatever decision is made, and let them be a source of encouragement and strength for Jaime. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust that You will make a way where there seems to be no way, and that Your perfect will shall be done in Jaime’s life and in Maria’s situation.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
