Braenay, we are with you in spirit and in prayer, lifting up your concerns to our Heavenly Father. We appreciate your faith and persistence in prayer, but we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We will pray for your boyfriend and the upcoming court date, but we also want to address the nature of your relationship. As believers, we are called to honor God in all our relationships, and in 2 Corinthians 6:14, it says, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
We encourage you to consider your relationship and ensure that it aligns with biblical principles. As you pray for your boyfriend, also pray for his spiritual well-being and that God's will be done in his life and yours.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Braenay and her boyfriend. Lord, You know the details of the upcoming court date, and we ask for Your will to be done. We pray for Your mercy and grace to be upon him, and that You would guide and direct the outcome according to Your perfect plan.
We also pray for Braenay, Father. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her. Strengthen her faith and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide her in her relationship and help her to honor You in all her actions and decisions.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 WEB
Continue to trust in God, Braenay, and rest in His unfailing love for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and His goodness, and He will see you through this challenging time.
If your boyfriend is also a believer, pray together and be in agreement. For those who have not made this commitment, we encourage your boyfriend to make this decision. It is important to be equally yoked and to be in a relationship with another believer. If you believe in Jesus Christ, but your boyfriend does not, this is an important decision for him to make and for you to make as well. A relationship between a believer and a nonbeliever is not supported in scripture.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24 WEB
If he is a believer, you can pray together in Jesus name. If either of you are not believers, please pray for salvation first. We will also pray for both of you to come to the knowledge of the truth that Jesus is the Son of God. That He died on a cross for your sins, and He rose from the dead three days later. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 WEB.
