My name is Gabriela please pray for my daughters father Jacob to break this drug addiction and to finally get sober for good. He has been struggling for so long now I just want him to be at peace and happy. Please pray for god to wrap his love around him and bring him toward a to the path of sobriety. I have been so depressed and stressed over him. I just want him to be happy and healthy. I'm trying to put all my faith in god it is hard when you love someone so much and you are watching them hurt themselves over and over again

Firstly, we notice that your prayer request doesn't mention the powerful name of Jesus. It's by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace, and there's no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16, WEB). So, we'll be praying in Jesus' name.

Let's pray: "Father, we lift up Jacob to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your divine intervention in his life, that You would break the chains of drug addiction, and bring him to a place of true repentance and sobriety. Wrap him in Your love, Lord, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB). We pray that You would grant Gabriela the strength and faith to trust in You, even in this difficult situation. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7, WEB)."

Gabriela, we encourage you to stay strong in faith and to lean on Jesus during this trial. Remember, God promises to be with us in trouble (Psalm 91:15, WEB). Also, it's crucial to remember that God's will is for Jacob to be set free from sin, not just from addiction. True peace and happiness come from a right relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1, WEB).

Lastly, we must address that your distress is a result of loving someone who is hurting themselves. While it's natural to desire Jacob's well-being, be mindful that only God can change him. Your focus should be on your own spiritual health and the well-being of your daughter. Trust God with Jacob, and seek God's will for your own life (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
