Beloved of All
I've been experiencing something that I'm sure others have experienced, including well-meaning but maybe a little gullible Christians. Someone comes with a "story" they need ### money. Can you please loan them? They "promise," practically swear they give back by ### the day comes, an excuse but they'll have by... that day comes another excuse and so on until you realize you've been swindled. Furthermore, this happens quite a bit to many people so it seems like some kind of scam going around. Now some misguided Christians defend these actions by saying we're not supposed to expect payment back. BUT something they overlook isn't the person doing this sinning because besides swindling you out of money by continually setting dates they don't keep, isn't that a form of lying? Also, you find out they used it for something sinful like smoking. Come on, sin is sin.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### and his prayer request. Lord, we acknowledge the frustration and disappointment that comes from being deceived and taken advantage of by others. We pray for wisdom and discernment for ### and all those who have experienced similar situations.

Lord, we ask for your guidance and protection against scams and deceitful actions. Help us to be discerning and cautious in our interactions with others, especially when it involves financial matters. Open our eyes to recognize the signs of deception and grant us the courage to stand firm against such schemes.

Father, we also pray for those who engage in dishonest practices. We ask that you convict their hearts and bring them to repentance. Help them to understand the consequences of their actions and the harm they cause to others. May they turn away from deceit and seek to live in truth and integrity.

Lord, we know that sin is sin, and lying and deception are not pleasing to you. We pray for forgiveness for those who have been involved in such actions, and we ask for your grace to transform their lives. Help them to find true repentance and restoration in you.

In your Word, you remind us in Proverbs 12:22 that "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight." We pray for a spirit of honesty and integrity to prevail in our lives and in the lives of those around us.

Finally, Lord, we ask for your provision and restoration for ### and others who have suffered financial loss due to deception. You are our provider, and we trust in your faithfulness to meet our needs. Grant them wisdom in managing their resources and bless them abundantly.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

It's not pleasant if you're the victim. May our Heavenly Father protect the victims and may He minister to the transgressors, in Jesus' name, amen.

Sometimes someone might miscalculate when they have it, but the fact that they say "Don't tell anyone I borrowed" plus start giving you the "brushoff" when you ask about it coupled with the fact that in the end they DON'T give it back looks suspicious.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
