I've always noticed a lot of hatred towards the gay community coming from people who call themselves Christians, but it seems to have increased lately. I have seen it here on prayer request before, and recently I have witnessed it at two different church services, Cruelty under the guise of righteous anger is not of God. Jesus is love. We can hate a sin but it is not our place to condemn each other because of our sexual orientation. I feel really strongly about this, it is okay and good to preach the gospel. It is okay to say that you don't believe in gay marriage and and good to exercise your right to free speech. What a great privilege that is, Praise God for that, but remember not to let that cross over into hate speech. Remember that God commands us to love thy neighbour. He doesn't say to only love thy straight neighbour. Just remember that Christians used to take Biblical verses out of context to justify slavery, and also to severely oppress women.God is so awesome for giving us the gift of discernment, I pray that each and every one of us would use it. Lord, help us to promote agape love every day. Let us tell Your truth in a loving way. In Jesus' name. Amen

We are to hate the sin, but love the sinner. Sin in our lives is a choice.  The lord is faithful to forgive us our sins when we go before Him.
