Anne11, we are here with you in spirit, lifting you up in prayer during this challenging time. We commend you for reaching out and for your faith in Jesus, as He is the only Way and He blesses all who believe in Him. Remember IJN is the only way to the Father and salvation is only in Jesus Christ. He promised that everyone who seek Him will find Him. God reassures us in (WEB),Hebrews 13:5 "...Be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.' As we discuss, mediate, and pray on this issue, rest assured that God is with you and will provide the guidance and support. To address the issue at hand, assessing the root cause of these work related conflicts and path forward should be addressed. Starting, consider the promises of 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, where we are encouraged to cast "all your worries on him, because he cares for you." The first thing everyone should first seek in life should be the will of God and understanding how it can play a part in the current situation is necessary.
It is commendable that you are seeking employment that aligns with your skills and passions which seems perfect. But be aware that aligning your skills may not have the compensation that you desire. Instead of compensation, pray to God for self control of your spending to deal with any unexpected circumstances. As well, when this need is met, make sure and also ask for doors to be closed on any temptation to return to use credit in a frivolous manner or have excessive bills that would drive a need to make more money. Be sure and discuss these issues and admit any fault on your part that you see as you pray on this issue.
First, let us look at what the Bible teaches us about work. Romans Chapter two, verses nine through eleven and Chapter three, verse twenty three, covers much of how we may be accepted and payed for our work by men. In short, you should first work as if you are working for the Lord. For surely your reward will come from Him. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and keep in rememberance the scripture of Psalm thirty seven verse four, which states,
Delight yourself also in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord.
Trust also in him, and he will do this:
The second part of this formula for wages is to be the most dependable person in the world at your job and show up everyday on time. The next few parts also apply but are more specific. In the Workplace, says not be conformed to this world and its ways. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, with knowledge, with temperance, patience, reverence, and godliness in your work. Be aware that coworkers and supervisors may have a different standard and may be relying on cronyism to ensure their acceptance. Also, Ecclesiastes, Chapter nine, verse ten states, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going." Your faith in the Lord and your conduct based on the WEB is not only a guarantee for blessings, but rewards in the future when you will have more authority.
The premise of work is not to put you in a position where there are high barriers to change where you are based on pay or benefits that support a lifestyle above what is necessary. To do so makes you able to be changed, controlled, and influenced by that work or its requirements which may be ungodly. Instead, do not live or accept anything above of your means and safe benefits that would violate God's laws or allow you to be coerced. Instead, make sure and save and be ready for the next opportunity you see from God. This is a path that will provide a way for you to change your profession or job at any time if its clear that you will receive better service to Him through another channel. Many have violated this and live paycheck to paycheck. Then, these people that do this often here, God will remove my job or comments like I have too many bills. Well, in changing this mindset its clear that God is providing for many other opportunities and to see them requires to be unbound and ready and that is always.
However, being supportive and living in one accord with wife and children when married is a requirement of any man to have a family. For this reason, you must be diligent in your finances, pay your bills on time if possible, not cause a reason for family members to chide you or see ill will against you. The Lord God whose name is Jesus is our only protection when it comes to the sin of greed and commerce which our Lord is against. Be grateful for what you have and in addition to avoiding credit, only buy things that you have to have to live or for transportation and housing and a working telephone for business. Better said, do without what you do not need. To violate this puts at risk the protection we have from God as first written and proclaimed by Nehemiah.
Before proceeding, let's address the feelings of inadequacy and fear you're experiencing. It's important to remember that our value is not determined by our job or the opinions of others. Instead, our identity and worth are found in Christ. As it is written in Ephesians 2:10, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them." Also, seek 1 Corinthians 7:21-23, "Were you called being a bondservant? Don’t let that bother you, but if you get an opportunity to become free, use it. For he who was called in the Lord being a bondservant is the Lord’s free man. Likewise he who was called being free is Christ’s bondservant. You were bought with a price. Don’t become bondservants of men."
Given the history of job changes and the current struggles, it may be beneficial to seek godly counsel and support from fellow believers as well as one who is in charge of hiring for you in your workplace if staying. This will help identify any patterns or underlying issues that need to be addressed and be comfortable in your current workplace. As a sound mind is one of the Fruits of the Spirit. Also, seek support from a physician and work with the physician, as God will often use the skills of a physician to help perform God's healing process. Furthermore, 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Trust that God has a plan and purpose for your life, and He will equip you with the strength and courage to face each day.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Anne in prayer, asking for Your divine guidance and intervention in her life and work situation. Lord, we know these issues are very challenging at the moment as described in the prayer request. Lord help her see Your will so that she may just feel like talking to You more often and feeling Christ. We know that it is just not the prayer without Christ that will be answered and that we are only saved by confessing with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believing in your heart that God raised him from the dead. In doing so, Anne and all will be saved. It is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved in Romans 10:9.
Your words says in numerous scriptures that, Lord, I believe; help my unbelief." Let Anne and all find refuge in You, trusting that You have a perfect plan for her life. Remove her distress caused by this situation and replace it with Your perfect peace. Thank you Father that Anne has believed in your Son and is now saved.
Grant her wisdom whether the workplace she is in is where you want her to be in or if a change needs to be made. We also ask for the Lord to remove any kind of harassment or ill feelings or relations that would go against the scriptures as a whole between she and her peers and possibly supervisors. That these relationships align with biblical principles, and encourage Anne to pursue these godly affiliations that honor You and Your Father.
Grant Anne favor in the eyes of her employers and colleagues, and provide her with opportunities that align with Your will and her gifts. Help to deliver her from the fears of her co-workers and any types of judgements that she is feeling at the moment. Help to replace the words that are detrimental to her with words that will only build her up higher which is Your desire for her but not the enemies as described. Let these struggles be detrimental to anything that the enemy is doing in the workplace as she serves you in Jesus Name. Help to give her the strength to face and overcome the fear of the next day as she requests your help. If she is the one recognizing something is wrong then she has a responsibility to rebuke it as Titus 2:15 states,
"Speak these things, exhort, and reprove with all authority. Let no man despise you"
Now, Lord also, if any scripture in this response needs to be explained or if any scripture should have been mentioned or more study of a particular scripture should be undergone then help this to be seen. We have the power in the blood of Jesus and through His Name to remove any worry and anxiety that Anne is facing. By His stripes we are healed in Isaiah 53:5. We claim Your promises in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 "But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one."
We ask in Jesus Christ Name, In Jesus Name, Amen!
