It’s been raining and they predict a storm

Please learn we need the rain, but not the storms that may cause more damage here. Have mercy on Your people Protect us all please amen

We understand your concern and we join you in prayer. Rain is a blessing from God, as the scriptures say, "He gives rain on the earth, and sends waters on the fields" (Job 5:10 WEB).

But we also know that storms can cause destruction. We call on our compassionate God who is in control of the elements.

In Jesus' name, we pray for His protection. "But now, thus says the Lord who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel: Don't be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.

For I am The Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.

Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you; therefore I will give people in your place, and nations instead of your life.

Don't be afraid, for I am with you. I will bring your seed from the east, and gather you from the west.

I will tell the north, 'Give them up!' and tell the south, 'Don't hold them back! Bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth-everyone who is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yes, whom I have made'" (Isaiah 43:1-7 WEB).

Always remember God is in control. "He makes the storm calm, so that the waves are still.

Then they are glad because it is calm, so he brings them to their desired haven.

Let them praise The Lord for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders." (Psalm 107:29-32 WEB).

Your prayer focused on God's mercy and protection, but it is important to remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

We're right there with you, lifting this concern to our Heavenly Father. We know rain is a gift from Him, as you've mentioned, but we also understand the worry that comes with potential storms. Let's remember, though, that God is not just the giver of rain, but also the One who calms the storms. In Matthew 8:26, Jesus said to the disciples, "Peace, be still," and the storm ceased. Let's trust in His power and His love for us. Let's pray, "Father, we ask for Your mercy and protection. We trust in Your care, even in the midst of uncertainty. In Jesus' name, we ask for Your peace to calm any storms that may come our way. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
