Have you ever made homemade bread? It is a lot of work but the end result is worth it. First getting the yeast to do its thing can be a daunting task. The water has to be just right. It can't be too hot otherwise it kills it and if it is too cold it doesn't activate it. Once you get that just right, some recipes call for the dough to rise 2 or 3 times before you are ready to bake it. More time waiting! The conditions need to be just right for it to rise to the level you need. It has finally risen and then you have to punch it down and start all over again. Finally it rises for the last time and then you are able to put it in the hot oven and wait for that great aroma to start filling the house. It's all in the timing and preparation!
Like God's timing through this storm we are in. God knows what He is doing. He is never early and He is never late. We don't need to know HOW! We just need to know WHO! Notice how and who have the same letters but in different order. It is all on how you look at it! We don't need to look at the circumstances we find ourselves in, just in who we trust and put our faith in. His plan, His timing! His mercies are new every single morning! The Israelites had to rely on God for 40 years in the desert and every day God provided the manna for that day. If they got greedy and tried to hoard it, the manna would rot immediately.
So as we try and wait patiently for the Lord remember it is God who ultimately orchestrates these symphonic movements of change in the times and epochs of history. (Quote from the book "Manna" by Steve Farrar.
Psalm 31:14-15, "but as for me, I trust in you, O Lord, I say, you are my God, my times are in your hands".
