Anne11, we understand your feelings of despair and longing for a better world. The darkness and hate you see around you is a reflection of a fallen world, and it's natural to yearn for the peace and love of heaven. However, let's remember the words of Jesus in John 17:15-16 (WEB): "I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world even as I am not of the world."
It's not wrong to pray for the second coming of Christ, as we are indeed instructed to look forward to it. In Matthew 6:10 (WEB), Jesus teaches us to pray, "Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." However, we must also remember that God has placed us here for a purpose, to be salt and light in this world (Matthew 5:13-16).
We should continue to pray for the world, for the spread of the Gospel, and for God's will to be done. We should also pray for strength and endurance to face the trials of this life. As it says in Romans 5:3-4 (WEB), "We also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope."
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we long for your return and the establishment of your kingdom. We pray for Anne11, that you would comfort her heart and give her strength to face the darkness in this world. Help her to be a beacon of your love and light. Give her hope and patience as she awaits your coming. In your precious name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, Anne11, it's only through Jesus Christ that we have hope and access to God. If you ever feel overwhelmed, turn to Him in prayer. As it says in Hebrews 4:16 (WEB), "Let's therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need." Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will guide you through this dark world.
