We understand that you're going through a difficult time, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. First, let's address the issues you've raised and pray together.
It's important to understand that God's design for marriage is that husbands and wives should love and respect each other. In Ephesians 5:25, 28-29 WEB, it says, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... So ought husbands to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord does the assembly." If your husband has embarrassed you and broken promises, it's crucial to communicate with him openly and forgivingly about how his actions make you feel.
However, it's also important to ensure that your expectations align with biblical principles. It is concerning that your husband is not providing for your basic needs. In I Timothy 5:8 WEB, it says, "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."
Addressing your hunger and weight loss, remember that God cares about every need you have, including your physical well being. He can provide for your needs as we see in WEB Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Regarding your husband's wealth, it's important to remember that true richness comes in Jesus Christ. Material wealth can be fleeting. Marriage should be a partnership where both husbands and wives are willing to serve one another and not an opportunity to demand your wants. In Ephesians 5:21 WEB, "subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is in need. Lord, You know her situation and the pain she's experiencing. We pray for her husband, that You would soften his heart and help him see the importance of loving, respecting, and providing for his wife, as You have called him to do. We pray for open communication between them, that they may resolve their issues in a godly manner.
Father, we also pray for our sister's physical needs. You know her hunger and weight loss. We ask that You provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory. We pray for her health and strength and for the husband to pick up his God-given task of taking care of his family.
Finally, Lord, we pray for their marriage as they need your guidance and wisdom. Help them to live in a manner that is pleasing to You and with a thankful heart. Remind them of Your promise in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, IJN.
