Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother or sister who is struggling with feelings of hate and negativity. Lord, Your Word says in Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." We ask that You cleanse their heart and renew their spirit, removing the root of bitterness and replacing it with Your love and peace.
Father, we know that nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You help them to forgive those who have wronged them, as You have forgiven us. In Ephesians 4:31-32, You instruct us to "Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." Help them to live out this command, Lord.
We also pray for a spirit of gratitude to fill their heart. Philippians 4:6 reminds us to "not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." May they find reasons to thank You daily, even in the midst of their struggles.
Lord, we trust in Your power to transform lives. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
