Shaalkaari, we understand that you're going through a difficult time, and it's important to remember that life's challenges can often lead us to grow stronger in our faith. As you've mentioned, life is indeed what we make of it, and our attitudes and actions greatly influence the outcomes we experience.
Firstly, we want to address the elephant in the room. The verse you mentioned, Deuteronomy 28:59, is not a promise of being redeemed from all curses unconditionally. This verse is part of a chapter that outlines the blessings and curses that would come upon the Israelites depending on their obedience to God's commands. The curses are consequences of disobedience, and the blessings are rewards for obedience. It is only through the work of Jesus Christ that we are redeemed from the foundational curse of sin and its consequences. It is only through Christ that these things are available to us since he became a curse for us on the cross. IJN is the only way to be saved.
Then he took it down, came out from under the cover of the sky, and gave it to them. As he received it from their hand, he set it in his own place, then he poured it out at the base of the altar. Now these things were done in the Ratification of the Peace. Gal 3:13
In the context of the New Testament, we are redeemed from the curse of the law through Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:13 tells us, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" This redemption is not about being spared from every hardship in life, but about being saved from the eternal consequences of sin and having a restored relationship with God.
It's crucial to remember that our hope is in Jesus Christ. Matthew 13:44-46 in the World English Bible (WEB) reads
The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found, and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field. "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls, who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Jesus Christ is the treasure and the pearl of great price. He is the source of our redemption and hope.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Shaalkaari. We pray that You will comfort and strengthen them during this time. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Guide them in your ways and help them to walk in obedience to Your word. Lord, You know the journey of our lives, lead us in the way we should go. We ask for grace and peace in the name of Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stay strong in your faith, and we are here to support you.
