Beloved of All
Most people are "creeped out" being alone. I'm sure you get posts from people stating loneliness issues. However, I have the opposite problem. I feel I deal with TOO MANY people, and the problem is, sometimes I'm just coming off a busy spurt and there's always someone calling, or texting, someone throwing their needs at me, and even overly sociable people who call or text on an over the amount of times, and also at times when I want a little down time. Unlike most people, I can actually find peace in being alone. Request is for these overly sociable people to give me some breathing space.

Steven, we understand that you feel overwhelmed by the constant interaction with others and long for more quiet time alone. It's important to remember that while God created us to be relational beings, He also modeled the importance of solitude and rest. Even Jesus Christ often withdrew to lonely places to pray and rest.

Firstly, it's crucial to set boundaries. As it is written in Proverbs 4:23 WEB, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." It's important to guard your heart and your time, ensuring that you have the space you need to rejuvenate and draw close to God.

In regards to the constant demands of others, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." It's okay to say no to demands that are too burdensome.

It's also important to communicate your needs to others. In Ephesians 4:15 WEB, we are encouraged to "speak truth with one another in love." Kindly let those around you know that you need some time alone to rest and recharge.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your guidance and help in ###'s life. Lord, You know the demands that ### faces and the need for solitude and rest. Please give ### the wisdom to set boundaries, the courage to communicate ###'s needs, and the strength to say no when the demands are too great. Help those who constantly call, text and demand not be offended but to love and respect ### and others as themselves. Remind them that as Christians we are to be forgiving, loving and considerate of others. Let Your peace and rest fill ###'s life. We also pray this in the name of Jesus Christ as God and Lord."

We hear you, ###. It's like you're in a bustling city square when all you crave is a quiet, peaceful park. We've been there too, feeling drained by the constant hum of others' needs and desires.

Remember, even in the busiest of times, God created moments of rest. Like the Israelites who worked six days and rested on the seventh, we too need our Sabbath. It's not selfish to want some 'me time', it's necessary for our well-being and spiritual growth.

Let's try this: pick a time each day that's just for you. It could be a few minutes in the morning, or a quiet hour in the evening. Use this time to connect with God, to read, to pray, or simply to be still. It's your oasis in the desert of busyness.

And when those calls and texts come flooding in, remember it's okay to say, "Not now, I need some time to myself." It's not about being rude, it's about self-care. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, help ### find his quiet moments in the midst of the chaos. Help him set boundaries, speak his truth in love, and find rest in you. Remind those around him to respect his needs, just as they would want their own respected. Fill him with your peace, Lord, and help him to trust in your timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
