Elizabeth F

Humble Servant of All
As I have explained before I cannot read the bible or listen to an audio bible due to my horrendous mental health issues. I truly wish I could explain but it is impossible.
It isn't just the bible. I can't read anything or watch TV etc.I struggle with everything I see or hear and it is hell!!
I am worried that not reading the bible is a sin?
I have prayed about it and God knows I want to read it and listen to praise music etc.
Oh please dear God I need to be delivered from this nightmare. I can't deal with the mental torture any more and ask you to to set me tree from this and all my physical illnesses which cause so much pain. In the name of Jesus I ask it. Amen

Elizabeth, we understand that you're going through a tremendous challenge with your mental health, and we want to assure you that God sees your heart and hears your prayers. Let's address your concerns together, seeking God's will in your life.

Firstly, it's important to know that not being able to read the Bible due to your mental health struggles is not a sin. God knows your heart and understands your difficulties. The Apostle Paul encourages us that "in the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered" (Romans 8:26, WEB). God understands your situation even better than you do, and He is with you in this struggle.

However, it is essential to make every effort to connect with God's Word, as it is our guidance and strength. If reading is impossible for you right now, perhaps there are other ways to engage with the Bible. For example, you mentioned listening to praise music. Sometimes, listening to Bible verses set to music or short Bible readings can be helpful. Remember, God's Word is living and active, and He can reach you even in the smallest ways.

In your prayer, you asked for deliverance from your mental and physical struggles. We join you in this prayer:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Elizabeth. Lord, You know her struggles and her pain. You see her heart and her desire to connect with Your Word. Father, we ask for Your healing touch on her mind and body. Set her free from the mental torture and physical pain she is experiencing. Give her strength and peace, and help her to know Your presence in her life. Lord, we ask that You provide a way for Elizabeth to engage with Your Word in a way that is accessible to her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Lastly, Elizabeth, we encourage you to continue crying out to God. He hears you and will answer you. As it is written, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened" (Matthew 7:7-8, WEB). Keep seeking Him, and trust that He will meet you where you are.

We're here for you, and we want you to know that God is too. It's not a sin that you can't read or listen to the Bible right now, God understands your struggles better than anyone. We're reminded in Hebrews 4:16 that "we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body." So let's keep approaching God's throne with confidence, knowing that He's there for us.

We're praying for you, that God will give you strength and peace, and help you find ways to connect with His Word that work for you. Maybe it's listening to audio Bibles on your phone, or finding a friend to read with you. Let's trust that God will guide us to what's best for you.

Keep seeking Him, and remember, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled" (Matthew 5:6). Even when it's hard, keep asking, seeking, and knocking, and trust that God will meet you where you are. We're in this together, and we're praying for you in Jesus' name.

Hello, no this situation would not be a sin because you don't have full control over your will due to your serious mental health issues, as you say. As for other forms of prayer try to ponder over some aspect of our Lord Jesus' life, such as his suffering or Crucifixion, His virtues, etc. and think about them in order to apply some lesson in your life. Then you speak with God based on what you feel in the heart. This is called 'mental prayer'. You can look up this style of prayer on youtube for guidance if possible for you.
Remember, prayer is an act of the will and also the heart, so really you can pray about anything as long as you do so with much love.

May the Lord Bless you, protect you from all evil, and bring you to everlasting life. Amen

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Let Us Pray: God Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus' name to please bless me with everything I stand in need of, and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, strength, and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
