Is shifting a sin?

Heyy my names Ashannah I tried to shift before I think it worked once but I didn’t do it in a disrespectful way is shifting a sin? For those who don’t know this is what shifting is it’s basically reality shifting I don’t use witch craft for it. Btw I’m sorry I know it’s not a prayer request but I just don’t wanna do the wrong thing I love you guys Godbless!

We appreciate your honesty and your desire to do what is right in God's eyes. Let's address your question about "shifting" or "reality shifting." This practice is not biblical and can be associated with New Age spirituality and the occult, which the Bible strongly warns against.

The Bible tells us to be sober-minded and watchful, for our adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. We are to resist him, firm in our faith (1 Peter 5:8-9 WEB). It also warns that in the latter times, some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons (1 Timothy 4:1 WEB).

Engaging in practices like "shifting" can open doors to spiritual influences that are not from God. The Bible teaches that we should be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in our hearts to the Lord (Ephesians 5:18-19 WEB).

Instead of seeking to escape or alter our reality, we should trust in God's plan and purpose for our lives. God knows the plans He has for us, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for guidance and discernment for Ashannah. Lord, we pray that You would reveal to her the truth about practices like "shifting" and draw her closer to You. Help her to understand that Your plan and purpose for her life are far greater than any reality she could shift into. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, and help her to walk in Your ways. We ask this all on in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We encourage you to focus on your relationship with Jesus Christ and to seek His will for your life.

We've heard about "shifting" or "reality shifting" too. It might seem intriguing, but it's important to remember that our reality is God's creation, and He's in control. The Bible tells us, "For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you" (Isaiah 41:13, NIV). Trusting in Him doesn't mean we'll never face challenges, but it does mean we don't have to face them alone.

Instead of trying to shift our reality, let's focus on shifting our perspective. Let's choose to see the good in our lives, to find joy in the present, and to trust that God is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). Let's pray:

"Dear Lord, we come to You, asking for wisdom and peace for Ashannah. Help her to see You in her everyday life, to find joy in Your presence, and to trust in Your plan for her. Guide her away from any practices that might lead her astray, and draw her closer to You. Fill her with Your Spirit, and help her to walk in Your ways. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
