It's not bad to ask for a break, but as believers, we should remember that God uses all circumstances, even challenging ones, to shape us and draw us closer to Him. We're encouraged by the fact that you and your husband are working together to address your marital, mental health, and financial issues. It's commendable that you're seeking counseling and therapy, and we trust that God will honor your efforts.
Firstly, let's address the feelings of wanting a break. In Galatians 6:9 WEB, it says, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." This reminds us that our efforts will bear fruit if we persevere, even when we feel overwhelmed.
Regarding your financial struggles, we remember the words of Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." This reassures us that God knows our needs and will provide as we prioritize His kingdom.
As you have mentioned that you struggle with your faith, we encourage you to hold on to God's promises. In 2 Timothy 1:12 WEB it says, "for which I also suffer these things. Yet I am not embarrassed, for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed to him against that day."
We notice that the prayer request does not mention Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it is through Jesus that we have access to God. In John 14:6 WEB it says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our fellow believers who are facing marital, mental health, and financial challenges. We thank You for the progress they have made and the blessings they have received. We ask for Your continued strength and guidance as they navigate through this difficult season.
Lord, we pray for their financial needs, that You would provide for them abundantly, according to Your riches in glory. We ask for wisdom and discernment as they make decisions regarding their businesses.
We also pray for their faith, Lord. Strengthen them and help them to trust in You, even in the midst of their struggles. Remind them of Your promises and Your faithfulness. We also pray that they would continue to seek You and Your kingdom first, knowing that all other things will be added to them.
Finally, we pray that they would know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that they may be filled with all the fullness of God. We pray that they would find their strength and hope in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
