1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
And so while you're testing the spirits of the messenger, God is testing the spirit of the masses.
John speaks regarding God's messengers and true believers: 1 John 4:6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
Both message and messengers of God have, more often than not, been a source of irritation to the people. It was so with Jesus and all of His disciples. They weren't shunned, insulted, beaten, imprisoned, cast out, and crucified because they spoke smooth things; it was because they delivered, what the masses defined as a negative message. Obviously, Jesus got on some folks nerves in Matthew 23. But, because it's difficult for man to heed such a message when he's prospering (winning), he rebels, and oftentimes retaliates. Jesus was persecuted all the way to a hill call Golgotha for that very reason: or so they thought. BUT GOD's message is never negative, but is merciful in warning. It's up to man how he chooses to interpret it. Therefore, don’t misunderstand, just because your deeds and gatherings are in quietness, it doesn’t mean you’re operating in righteousness. Judas’s dealings with the Chief Priests were absolutely, “on the down low,” but because it was in contention with God’s ultimate plan, all the prospering in the world ultimately served him no purpose: Matthew 16:26(a) For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
This is what God says regarding the people, in response to His messengers: Ezekiel 3:7 But the people of Israel are not willing to listen to you because they are not willing to listen to me, for all the Israelites are hardened and obstinate.
Indeed the spirit must be tested, but whether or not you agree with, or like the message or messenger, is irrelevant: 1 John 4:6 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
James 4:17 So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
Note: Though difficult, to be sure, this assignment has been so absolutely amazing that I woud go through it all again, if God commanded it; but, because His strategy is all about the latter end, it’s on to the NEXT. It's like clockwork how The Holy Spirit has been leading me throughout this assignment. God instructs us to set our case before Him; and this has been the flow of that process for me, thus far:

- I set my case according to Psalm 35.
- God comforted me according to Psalm 37.
- He has NOW given me new instruction according to Psalm 65.
(I am admittedly using the Message Bible)
I set these messages before the whole world, because God has been operating before the whole world.
Until further instruction, I submit myself to quietness.
