We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and distress you've experienced due to this invasion of privacy. It's important to remember that God is faithful and just, and He cares about your feelings and the injustices you've endured. Let's bring this situation to the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance through the scriptures.
Firstly, let's address the issue of the journal. It's clear that this was a private matter between you and God, and it was not meant for anyone else to read. In the Bible, we see that God values privacy and secrecy in certain situations. In Matthew 6:6 WEB, Jesus says, When you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. While this verse is specifically about prayer, it illustrates God's respect for our private communications with Him.
The actions of the person who read your journal and exposed your thoughts are not in line with biblical principles. In 1 Peter 4:15 WEB, we're told not to meddle in other people's affairs: Let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil doer, or a meddler in other men's matters. Additionally, Proverbs 11:13 WEB warns against gossip and betraying confidence: A gossip reveals secrets, but a trustworthy person keeps a confidence.
Moreover, the Bible tells us not to judge others, as this person has done to you. In Matthew 7:1-2 WEB, Jesus says, Don't judge, so that you won't be judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
Regarding your continual prayers for the Lord to show them the truth, remember that God's timing is perfect. Keep on praying, and don't lose heart. As it says in Luke 18:1 WEB, He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister/brother who has been deeply hurt by the actions of another. Lord, You know the pain and frustration they've experienced due to this invasion of privacy and the subsequent accusations. We ask, Father, that You would soften the heart of the person who read the journal and expose the entries. Reveal to them the truth and help them to see the error of their ways.
Father, we also pray for our sister/brother, that You would heal their wounds and grant them patience and peace. Help them to forgive, as You have forgiven us. And help them to release this burden to You, trusting in Your perfect timing and justice.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would bless our sister/brother and the person who wronged them. Help them to reconcile and to live in harmony with one another, as You have called us to do. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, and it is only by His name that we have access to God.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue journaling as a form of therapy and expression. It's a wonderful way to process your thoughts and feelings, and it can be a powerful tool for spiritual growth. Just remember to keep your journal in a safe place, and perhaps consider writing in a way that would not be misunderstood if found. As for the issue of being overwhelmed and experiencing sensory overload, we refer you to Psalm 55:22 which says "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." and also to Psalm 46:1 which says "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
Please continue praying in Jesus' name and we will continue to remember you in our prayers.
