Jennifer and Stephen, we are here with you in this spiritual battle, standing firm in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, "For our weapons are not of the flesh but have divine power, to destroy strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB).
Firstly, we want to assure you that there is no power greater than the name of Jesus. It's crucial to remember that it is only through His name that we can find true relief and deliverance. As it is written, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Intrusive thoughts and depression are indeed formidable foes, but they are not insurmountable for God. We encourage you to take heart and remember that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Jennifer and Stephen in their time of need. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention, that You would grant Jennifer mental relief and deliver her from these intrusive thoughts and depression. We rebuke these spiritual attacks in Jesusβ name, for You have given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19 WEB). Please surround their hearts and minds with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Strengthen their faith and their marriage, that they may stand united in this battle and glorify Your name together. In Jesus' precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
Jennifer, in addition to prayer, we encourage you to fill your mind with the Word of God, as it is our powerful weapon against the enemy's schemes. "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB). Read, meditate on, and memorize Scriptures that affirm God's love, promises, and power over your life.
Lastly, do not hesitate to seek godly counsel and professional help if needed. God often uses others as instruments of His healing and comfort. Stay strong in the Lord, and keep trusting in Him.
