OK this is starting to kinda freak me out a little. Just when I think I'm all done with this Esther aspect of my journey, the Holy Spirit reveals yet another parallel. For anyone who has been reading my posts, and especially those of you who have gained access to the "rough draft beginning" of my yet to be finished book, know that the title chosen was "Hide." Unknowingly, the parallel to that title, which was seemingly purposed long before I knew there was a parallel to the story of Esther is this:
The meaning of the name Esther - Formed as a method of concealment, Esther is thought to be forged from the Hebrew root s-t-r, which means "hide," in reference to the Persian queen's hidden identity. However, Esther is most often traced to the Old Persian stāra, which means "star," aligning the name to the Near Eastern goddess Ishtar.
I'm sure it will mean little to nothing to most people, but this whole journey, especially the way God has woven this assignment, keeps me in consistentawe. I just thank God and give Him glory for even considering me for this assignment - Who am I?
