Wilann, we understand that you're struggling with a recurring sin and it's commendable that you're seeking help and forgiveness from the Lord Jesus. We're reminded of God's faithfulness to forgive us when we confess our sins. As it's written in 1 John 1:9 (WEB), "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
However, we must also remember that true repentance involves turning away from sin. Jesus said, "Go, and sin no more" (John 8:11, WEB). This means we must make a conscious effort to resist temptation and flee from sin. As you've acknowledged, you're having trouble letting go and keep returning to this sin. We encourage you to ask for God's strength to help you resist temptation. As the Apostle Paul wrote, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).
Let's pray together: "Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, confessing our sins and asking for Your forgiveness. Please help Wilann to let go of this recurring sin and give them the strength to resist temptation. Guide them to the way of escape that You've promised in Your Word. Help them to live a life that's pleasing to You, in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen."

As it's written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
