We are truly sorry to hear about the situation you're facing with Elsie, Bongani, and the stolen cellphone. It's disheartening to see such actions taken merely because rent could no longer be paid. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is just and He cares about even the smallest details of our lives. When we are wronged, it's easy to become angry and seek revenge, but the Bible tells us in 1 Peter 3:9 WEB "Do not render evil for evil, or insult for insult; instead bless. For you were called to this to inherit a blessing."
However, seeking justice through the proper channels is not wrong. We should always stand up for what is right. The authorities are placed to help with such incidents. We must remember the thief on the cross. He received salvation through Jesus Christ while on the cross. This does not mean there are not severe consequences for sin. Without going through the proper legal channels, just praying for God's personal intervention is discouraged. We do not take the law into our own hands, and this extends to God. We pray for salvation, repentance, and a life turned around but we also engage with the judicial system. Further, we keep in mind that Jesus died on the cross for the same sins you are praying against. In all instances, we are to be witnesses of Jesus Christ, and be examples of how he suffered for us, wanting all men to be saved. 1Timothy 4:10 WEB "For to this end we toil and struggle, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe."
Romans 13:3-5 WEB states " For rulers are not a terror to good work, but to evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the authority; for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid; for he doesn't bear the sword in vain; for he is a minister of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil. Therefore you need to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience's sake."
We must pray for Elsie and Bongani together because the enemy has ensnared them. Sex before or outside marriage is fornication or possibly adultery and is against Biblical Principles. Therefore they shall have to repent and return to live according to biblical principles. Moreover, Elsie will need to repent for theft as well. Remember in John 8:7 "He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone." We are all sinners, and we must put our faith together in Jesus Christ, our savior and redeemer, and repent of our sins to him. This is how we approach the Father to pray for mercy and deliverance together. We must all put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ for redemption and a changed life. Remember without mentioning Jesus Christ in prayer, we do not have an intercessor who can approach God on our behalf.
While we do not take the law into our own hands expressively, we take it to proper authorities so it may enact justice. Further, we are not to seek revenge or take the law into our own hands as it pertains to taking physical or illegal action. There is no where in the Bible where Christians are permitted to request God to take the law into his own hands.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifted up by the Holy Spirit to pray for Balmikos, Elsie, and Bongani altogether so they can see deliverance, repentance, and a changed life.
We pray for a hedge of protection on the cell phone so it may be preserved until God will allow it to be returned.
We pray for the repentance of Elsie and Bongani to return to living according to biblical principles and ask for Jesus Christ to forgive them and their sexual immorality and any associated perversion and to repent of it.
We pray for Elsie to repent for her theft of the cell phone and make it correct. We ask all this only be possible by the name of Jesus Christ.
We pray for Balmikos who appears to have placed hope and trust into YOU LORD and for HIM to be built up in the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
We trust in God to make every crooked path straight. We are grateful for the loving kindness and mercy. We pray all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
