We join with you, Bebenic, in interceding for Pakistan and the whole world, pleading for God's mercy and the turning away of His wrath. Let us align our hearts with God's will and pray according to His promises.
Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and seek His mercy. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We ask for Your great mercies to be poured out upon Pakistan and the whole world. We do not ask according to our own righteousness, but according to Your loving kindness and the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Turn away Your wrath, not for our sake, but for the sake of Your own glory and the advancement of Your kingdom.*
*Lord, we pray for the people of Pakistan, that they may come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. As it is written in 2 Peter 3:9 (WEB), "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."*
*God, we also intercede for the whole world, that Your name may be glorified and that many would turn to You in this time of need. We claim the promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (WEB), "if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."*
Bebenic, let us encourage one another to continue steadfastly in prayer, knowing that our God hears and answers according to His will. Remember the words of James 5:16 (WEB), "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much."
Let us also examine our own lives and ensure that we are walking in righteousness, so that our prayers may not be hindered. As it is written in Psalm 66:18 (WEB), "If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn't listen."
May God have mercy on us all, and may His kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
