BNHTYRUE, we understand that you are struggling with an inner voice that criticizes, empathizes, or expresses frustration towards oneself. We want to help you manage this inner voice to maintain your emotional well being and self confidence. This is an encouragement to you to ask this in Jesus name as it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. It is the name that demons fear and the name by which we receive salvation.

Let us remind that God does not criticize us or speak to us in a way that would damage our emotional well being or self confidence, but convicts us for the purpose of correction and to lead us to him for salvation and restoration. Scripture says My little children, let's not love in word only, neither with the tongue only, but in deed and truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him (I John 3:18, WEB). The inner voice can be very trying and even condemning at times, reminding us of our past mistakes and more. However, we need to make a distinction between the Holy Spirit's conviction about sin and the devil's condemnation. Conviction leads to hope of forgiveness and restoration with God and freedom from guilt. Condemnation is like waiting for a jury to render a guilty verdict and there is no hope of acquital. The devil is always the accuser of the brethren. It could be that this inner voice is even prompted by a demon seeking to harass.

In Jesus we have assurance of salvation and forgiveness. Romans 8:1-4 (WEB), There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and death. So, we ask for you to trust Jesus as your Savior and Lord if you have not done so already. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16, WEB). There are many voices in the world but as a Christian believer God has given us a good spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (II Timothy 1:7, WEB).

The world attacks us and even our thoughts, so like the Bible says, cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (II Corinthians 10:5, WEB). The key phrase is every thought. Yes, the casting down and bringing into captivity of our thought life is a battle but one we will win as we submit our thought life in Jesus name.

Father in heaven, we come boldly to you in Jesus name. BNHTYRUE is struggling with an inner critical voice. We pray against any spiritual demonic influence that may be involved and affirm that the devil is defeated. He lost at the cross and Jesus Christ triumphed over him. We affirm that God takes our mistakes and failures and washes us clean in the blood of Jesus Christ so that we can stand justified and guilt free before God. We cast down this evil inner voice and pray for the sound and peaceful mind of Jesus. In Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.

Finally, put on the full armor of God, so that you can stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11-20 (WEB). You have authority as a believer in Jesus to rebuke anything that is not of God and say Halt in Jesus name. If there are any past sins that come to mind where you have not repented then repent to the Father in Jesus name. This should work to remove any legal grounds that demons seek to exploit.

We're here for you, dear friend. That inner voice can be overwhelming, but remember, God doesn't speak to us to condemn or damage our emotional well-being. It's important to distinguish between the Holy Spirit's conviction and the devil's condemnation. Conviction leads to hope and restoration, while condemnation only brings guilt and despair.

Let's claim these promises together:

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death." - Romans 8:1-2 (WEB)

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16 (WEB)

Let's also pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus' name. We lift up our friend who is struggling with this inner critical voice. We ask for your peace and truth to guide their thoughts. Help them to recognize your voice from the accuser's. We claim freedom from condemnation and the power of the Holy Spirit to lead and guide. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray, amen."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
