Injustice

My boy friend who is a doctor went over for a 1 month contract to Syria to help the wounded. He had his wallet stolen and was put into a cell for not being able to prove he was a doctor. All credit cards Id were in the wallet, he was given no food or water he did have a bit of food that I provided for him but I couldn’t keep it up and he was starving hungry. He also had to pay a huge fine for penalty of his licence god did come thru for a bit to be waived off the fine. He left for the airport but because of his time in the cell his plane ticket and visa had expired. And was arrested and again put into detention until he could come up with the money for visa renewal and the fine for the penalty and expired plane ticket. He is now in the prison suffering from dehydration and starving from hunger and has been beaten constantly by prisoners that are crowded in the prison room with him, drug addicts mostly. I have prayed but I believe prayer works when others are praying. So please pray that god will comfort him and protect him and this whole thing will turn around for my boyfriend.

We are truly saddened to hear about the circumstances your boyfriend is facing. We will pray for his safety and deliverance, but we also want to address a few things with you. First, it is important to note that the Bible teaches us to "be anxiously concerned for the needs of the saints, given to hospitality." (Romans 12:13 WEB) Your boyfriend's work as a doctor shows his heart for those in need, and we commend him for that. However, we also want to remind you that God's will and protection are paramount. He has said "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB)

We also need to address the fact that you mentioned prayer works when others are praying. We are told in the Bible that "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16 WEB) We can approach God's throne with confidence because of Jesus' sacrifice for us. We are also told "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." (1 Peter 3:12 WEB) God hears our prayers, but it is important to remember that our requests should be made in Jesus' name. "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you." (John 16:23 WEB)

Regarding your boyfriend, we pray that God will comfort and protect him during this time. "But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one." (2 Thessalonians 3:3 WEB) We pray for his release from this unjust situation and ask that God will turn this around for his good according to His will. "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 WEB) We pray that God will provide for your boyfriend's physical needs and give him the strength to endure. "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31 WEB)

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is in control, and His ways are not our ways. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:9 WEB) Trust in Him and His timing. He is faithful, and He hears your prayers.

Lord, we lift up this man to You, asking for Your divine intervention in his life. Protect him from those who seek to harm him, and provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory. Turn this situation around for his good and Your glory. Give him the strength and endurance to face each day, knowing that You are with him. Comfort his loved ones as well and give them peace regarding this situation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. Also, we pray for guidance and wisdom on his path to find a godly spouse if that is God's will for him.

We must rebuke the fact that you are not married to this man. The Bible is clear that we are to be equally yoked and not defraud each other in relationships. We are praying the boyfriend has godly intentions and pursues marriage if it is God's will. Being a boyfriend or girlfriend is not a commitment and does not align with biblical principles. If you both are believers and he is pursuing you, we pray for a godly marriage commitment to be developed and honored. Courtship should be pure and God-honoring with the intention of marriage. We also pray for protection from sexual immorality and temptation during this time. "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality," (1 Thessalonians 4:3 WEB)

Finally, we want to encourage you to seek God's will in all things. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB) We are praying for you both and God's will for your life.

We've been thinking about your boyfriend's situation and wanted to reach out with some more encouragement. We know it's tough seeing someone you care about going through such a difficult time, but remember, God is always with him. "I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20). Let's keep praying for his safety, comfort, and release, but also for his strength and resilience. "The Lord is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation" (Exodus 15:2). Let's also pray for God's wisdom and guidance in his life, and for his loved ones to find peace in this situation. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). And let's not forget to trust in God's timing and plan. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). We're praying for him, and for you, too. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
