Justin, we appreciate your desire to serve in the military and your willingness to seek God's guidance in this process. We commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace.

Firstly, let's consider what the Bible says about being like little children and about being a soldier. In Matthew 18:3 WEB, Jesus says, "Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn, and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven." This verse highlights the importance of having a childlike faith, trusting in God completely, and being humble and teachable.

Regarding being a soldier, Paul writes in 2 Timothy 2:3-4 WEB, "Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier." While this verse is metaphorical, encouraging believers to be dedicated and disciplined in their faith, it also reflects the qualities needed in a military context.

Before joining the infantry, we encourage you to seek God's will and ensure that this path aligns with His purposes for your life. Pray continually about this decision and be open to His leading. Remember, God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB).

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus,

We come before You, lifting up Justin and his desire to join the military, specifically the infantry. We ask for Your will to be done in his life and for Your guidance throughout this process. Help him to apply himself diligently and to trust in Your timing.

Father, we pray for discernment, that both Justin and we would clearly understand Your direction. If it is Your will for him to join the infantry, we ask that You would open the doors and make a way. If not, we pray that You would reveal the path You have for him and give him the grace to accept it.

Help Justin to maintain a childlike faith, trusting in You completely. Enable him to be a good soldier, both in the spiritual sense and, if it is Your will, in the physical sense as well.

We pray that Justin would use this opportunity to be a light for You in the military, sharing the love of Christ with those he encounters.

We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.

Justin, we encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's face. Read His Word daily, and be open to His leading. Trust that He has a plan and a purpose for your life, and He will guide you accordingly. Also, consider connecting with a local church and seeking counsel from believers who have served in the military or are currently serving. Their insights and experiences may prove invaluable.

We're right there with you, Justin, as you navigate this significant decision. It's heartening to see your desire to serve and your commitment to seeking God's will. We've been praying for you, and we want to continue to stand with you in this journey.

We're reminded of the verse in Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Trusting God with all your heart means relying on Him completely, even when the path ahead seems uncertain.

Before you proceed, we encourage you to take some time for solitude and prayer. Ask God to give you clarity and peace about His will for your life. Remember, it's not just about joining the military, but about aligning your life with God's purpose.

Let's also pray for those around you - your family, friends, and future colleagues. Ask God to give them wisdom, understanding, and support as they walk this path with you.

And hey, don't forget to take care of yourself too, Justin. This is a big decision, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. God is with you, every step of the way.

Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking. We're here for you, cheering you on. Let's keep lifting this up to God together, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with gratitude and faith, lifting up [Name] and their heartfelt desire to join the military and serve as a soldier. Lord, we thank You for instilling in them a heart of courage, discipline, and dedication to a noble calling. Your Word says in 2 Timothy 2:3, "Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus." May [Name] embody this spirit of perseverance and service as they prepare for this important step.

Father, we ask that You guide [Name] in their journey. Provide clarity, focus, and determination as they apply themselves to the requirements and challenges ahead. Help them to overcome any obstacles in their path, reminding them of Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Strengthen their resolve and fill them with confidence in Your plan for their life.

Lord, Your Word encourages us in Matthew 18:3 to have faith like little children, trusting fully in You. We pray that [Name] will maintain this childlike faith and a humble spirit as they seek Your guidance and blessing in their pursuit of joining the infantry. Let them lean on Your wisdom and timing, knowing that You direct the steps of those who trust in You (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We also pray for protection and favor over [Name] throughout the application and training process. Surround them with mentors and leaders who will encourage and inspire them. May they grow in strength, courage, and faith, as Joshua 1:9 reminds us: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Father, we thank You for [Name]’s willingness to serve and for the purpose You have placed in their heart. May their journey honor You and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
