Thank you, Jere, for your submission. We are glad to see Jesus's name (IJN) mentioned. Jere often hears commentary about the Benefits of asking God for forgiveness, professing Jesus is Lord, and his resurrection for eternal life. Very often, scripture is quoted without further explanation, and readily available at just the right time. Jere shares with us and the Holy Spirit is evident in our communications.
Consider: For, Who knows the thoughts of our heart except the Spirit of God within our heart?
2 Corinthians 12:3: and lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
Let us pray:
We are thankful for discernment, permitted by God himself through the Holy Spirit. We value our ability to test the spirits, wary of a world filled with falsehoods. Jesus told us in John 14:16-17: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
The world does not accept the Holy Spirit that lives within us, because they do not know him and can not see him, but we can see him as our Counselor.
Ask for guidance in our prayers. Permit us to approach God with reverence, awe, and humility and permit us to enter his presence boldly as we can. We ask for support from the Lord. We ask for special insight and gifts for Jere. We recognize our own sins and ask for ongoing forgiveness in Jesus's name and remember his death, burial, and resurrection. In Jesus's name we pray.
