The situation for our brothers and sisters in Chhattisgarh, India, is still very sensitive. Last week we told you about massive anti-Christian protests in the city - protests against Christians continue across India, and rallies have had 500 or more people take part.
Some members of the government have filed complaints against Christians and pastors in every district police station across Chhattisgarh. They accuse Christians of faking and forcing conversions. The official complaints have led to the police and government officials arresting Christians.
Believers in India have asked for fervent prayer support as the protests continue. Each rally has the potential to trigger a riot. A large rally on September 19 in Raipur city included shouted slogans that said if Christians did not stop evangelizing, they would be expelled from the country.
Please stand with Christians in the path of this very active persecution in India.
Ask God to cover His children with His hand of protection, drawing them close to Him and comforting them as they watch their fellow Indians protest against them.
Pray that the spark of rage that started the protests would die out, and the anti-Christian rallies would stop. Ask God to open the eyes of the protesters to see the heart of Jesus in these people, and embrace Him as well.
Pray for local Open Doors partners as they minister to believers in India. Ask God for safety and wisdom for them in the chaos of the current situation.
Thanks for praying, God bless. Taken from an Open Doors USA text alert.
