Thank you for bringing your request to us. We will pray for your wife, Elizabeth, in the name of Jesus. It's encouraging to see that you have faith in the power of Jesus' name, as it is the name above all names and the only way to get to God our Father.
Firstly, let's pray for Elizabeth's job search. We know that God cares about our needs and that He is able to provide for us. As it is written in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB:
"Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Elizabeth. We ask that You would open the right doors for her employment, and that she would trust in You during this process. We pray that You would provide for all of her needs according to Your riches in glory. We ask that You would remove any obstacles that are hindering her progress,
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We also want to address the phrase "bicking her from getting a head in life from stopping her from doing what she want to do". While we understand the intention, we want to remind you that as followers of Christ, we are to align our wants with God's will for our lives. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, it says "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will make your paths straight."
Let's pray that Elizabeth would seek God's will for her life and that she would desire to do what He wants, not just what she wants.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We pray that Elizabeth would desire Your will for her life. We ask that You would guide her steps and that You would give her the desire to do what You want her to do. We pray that You would help her to trust in You with all her heart, and to not lean on her own understanding. We ask that You would make her paths straight. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you both to continue to trust in God and to seek Him first. We know that God has a plan and a purpose for each of us, and that He is working all things together for our good. As it is written in Romans 8:28 WEB:
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
We will continue to pray for you both, and we encourage you to keep your faith in Jesus Christ. Keep in mind that the Bible tells us that the fervent, effectual prayer of a righteous man avails much. We are called to pray in faith, believing in Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the cross. This means we need to pray in line with God's will, knowing that he works all things for the good of those who are called according to his purpose. We are also called to pray with a heart of forgiveness, forgiving others as we have been forgiven, and as we would ourselves desire to be forgiven.
