We join you in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding for your daughter, Molly. We stand in agreement with you, praying that she would experience a renewed mindset, strengthened confidence, and success in her sport. We come to God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit and believe together that God has a plan and a purpose for Molly in this area of her life.
Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. It is written in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And in Acts 4:12 WEB, that Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Therefore, let us pray with confidence, knowing that our prayers are heard because of Jesus.
We pray that Molly's efforts would be crowned with success, and that she would find favor with her coaches and teammates. We ask God to remove the mental block that she is experiencing, and let her hard work and practice pay off. Let her skills sharpen, and her talents be manifested.
We pray for a sound mind for Molly, which is very much a part of a sporting life. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB, says For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We pray that Molly would have the mind of Christ, and not allow negative thoughts to overwhelm or oppress her, or snowball into bigger things.
Let her focus be on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, and whatever things are of good report. As it is written in Philippians 4:8 WEB, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, and whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.
Father, we ask You to help Molly lift her vision higher, and to set her mind on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth. For she has been raised with Christ. Set her mind on things above, not on things that are on earth. For she died, and her life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:1-3 WEB.
We also encourage you and Molly to be steadfast in prayer, and to always remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you and Molly will be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Lastly, we remind you to train up Molly in the way she should go, and when she is old she will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 WEB. Teach her to love the Lord her God with all her heart, with all her soul, and with all her strength. Deuteronomy 6:5 WEB. Let her know that with God all things are possible, and that He is always with her, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:20 WEB.
